Folly Association of Business April Update

If you are a Folly business owner or care about the Folly business community, you should be a member of The Folly Association of Business (FAB)! Formed as a non-profit organization in the late 1990s, FAB is made up of local business owners and community advocates. The primary focus of FAB is to promote a successful business alliance for its members and help foster a harmonious balance between the businesses and the quality of life for local residents.

When we help and support one another and join together to voice opinions on factors that will impact Folly businesses, our community is able to thrive. FAB also executes initiatives for the betterment of Folly Beach as a whole. One of these is our Litter Control Initiative, which hosts several litter sweeps throughout the year to address not only trash on the sand but also in the business and residential districts. On April 7, FAB’s Litter Committee, aka Toby the Turtle, is hosting a large, island-wide sweep for Earth Month in conjunction with the SC Aquarium. Not only do these sweeps clean up the island, but they also supply invaluable data that is used to affect changes in policy that protect our waterways and beaches.

For more information or to become a member of FAB, go to JoinFAB.org and please join us at our April meeting on Thursday, April 11 at 6 pm at Tides.
