FOLLY BEACH SPECIAL ELECTION – What to Know

A special election to -ill the remainder of Council Member Eddie Ellis’ term is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024. The winner of the election will serve until November 2025.

Here are some things you need to know about the election:

  • There are two candidates vying for the council seat:
    Jody Lynn Rogers and Skip Fink. Both candidates are featured below.
  • There is an opportunity to write in a candidate.
    Directions are available at the polling place for write in voting.
  • Voting will take place from 7am-7pm. There is one Polling Place for this election
  • There is still time to register to vote in this election, but you must register soon. Any person wishing to vote in this election must register no later than Sunday, March 24, 2024
  • Voter registration by mail forms will be accepted if postmarked by Monday, March 25, 2024.

Early Voting begins on Monday, April 08, 2024 and ends on Friday, April 19, 2024. The early voting center listed below will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday).

  • RETURN your application by 5 PM, 11 days before
    Election Day.
  • Absentee ballots are mailed approximately 30 days prior to each election. The last day ballots are mailed is 11 days prior to the election.
  • All voted ballots must be received by the Board of
    Elections and Voter Registration Of-ice no later than 7pm on election day to be counted.
  • Ballots will not be accepted at polling locations on election days
